The ancient conservatory was found by Lavrenzi at the west site excavations in the ancient city in 1929 and still is in a quite good state.
The first place consisted of nine marble levels.
A landing separated the rest of the lime built levels. These levels were supported by vaulted rooms where significant statues were found and are exhibited in the Archaeological Museum of the island. Nowadays cultural events are held in the ancient conservatory.
